Post Titles reset to "Subscription Confirmation"

    I use a sidebar widget, user receives an email. Clicking the email takes them to the designated page, where the widget area shows the “Subscription Confirmation” message. But every post title (the loop) is set to “Subscription Confirmation”. Clicking on the post title does take the user to the correct post, but it is disconcerting for both my client and his users.

    Has anyone else experienced this issue? Other than that, it seems to work great. I have a screen capture I can provide.

    I’ve seen this before. It is caused when the collection of the post titles and links is done using a function that WordPress say should only be used within the_loop(). The header, footer and sidebar should not use these functions.
