It sounds like a theme problem. Usually this happens when the templates do not get copied to your theme folder properly. Take a look at this thread as see if it helps.

the file is there but empty
i can not find one anymore in the plugin folder

Your posting in the other thread which will confuse people ??

1. disable your current theme and use the default twenty eleven or twenty twelve theme and see if you see the custom post template options. If you do, then you know it is a theme issue.

default template has the same, i copied the das-default file to the twentyeleven folder to overcome the file permission problem

when you change theme, delete the das plugin and reinstall, that will copy the proper file for you.

ok.. too bad!! I really love the idea of this plugin and it would really streamline my proces.

I dont get the concept why it would not work with an other template, it should.. thats why u use custom post template
