• Hi all,

I’ve read many “how to move” posts but still need some help. Can I move everything to a new host like plugins, images, themes etc. or do I have to re-add them after I’ve moved the main files?

I’ve looked in my admin settings and can only see an export option for posts etc.

I’m hoping there’s a way to do this with minimal downtime.

    Thanks

After reading, what problem do you face in moving WordPress?

The output of your theme, plugin, etc. are stored in your database. Your images are in your upload folder. Generally, when you import, depending on your import procedure/ tools, everything will be moved. But there are cases where import fails, or partial imports take place. Then you have to try again.

As a safer course, it will be better to take a note of your plugins and keep a handy backup of your theme. It is always better to save images also separately so that you can just add these, if these are missing.
