GRS pushing featured posts on homepage off to the right in IE

We have the latest Genesis framework with Genesis Responsive Slider loaded together with the Legacy child theme (yes, I know that is not made by StudioPress but Wes says to talk to you guys about this problem).
All is fine in all browsers except IE 9 (and possibly other versions).
What happens is all body content on the homepage gets pushed to the right UNLESS you activate compatability view in IE, then it is perfect.
Is there any CSS tweak you could suggest for overcoming this please?
