Get widget sidebar to show full dates

My widget calendar only shows the date of the first day of a several day event. – For example, I put April 24-26, 2013 and on the Events calendar, it’s just fine. But on the widget it is showing only April 24.
Is there an easy way to just get it to show the full date span?
