Featured image not displaying

Hello,
I have been attempting to use my nextgen gallery image as my post featured images for months with no avail. I have read several of the already created threads about this issue, but none of them have seemed to do the trick for me. I would really like to use nextgen exclusively for my images, but I am still forced to use the wordpress gallery because of this issue. I would really appreciate any help with this topic. Thank you !
