Inter-Group Matches

  • So I have read through all the forum, and there doesn’t seem to be a great answer about how to schedule Inter-Group Matches. There is a way to make an Inter-Group Championship, but thats not exactly what I am hoping for. Is there a way to do this on your software

    Group A
    A1
    A2
    A3

    Group B
    B1
    B2
    B3

    Wk 1 Sched – A1/A2, B1/B2, A3/B3
    Wk 2 Sched – A1/A3, B1/B3, A2/B2
    Wk 3 Sched – A2/A3, B2/B3, A1/B1

    I have Bolded the games that Are Intergroup

    After this is played, I will have some sort of tournament, where maybe you have 4 teams make it to some sort of championship

    Group A Winner
    Group B Winner
    Best Team that didnt win their division
    Next Best Team that didnt win their division.

    Actually, I hadn’t found anything either, so some code I wrote a while ago allows for that, with a preference checkbox “Allow Intergroup Play”. What I hadn’t quite finished was overall standings and standings in group/division. I needed it for US Basketball.

    When I get back home tomorrow, I’ll put some code together that I have and we’ll see how it works for you.

    Thanks. My curling league is actually starting this week,and I haven’t made my League page live yet, since I hadnt figured out how to do what I wanted.

    Was wondering when Allow Inter-group play will be implemented.

    I need this for my Little League Major site as we an East and West division that has Inter-group games.

    I actually figured out how to wrap it into the sport files last night as not all sports would need inter-group. There is one other file I have to clean up to be able to implement it properly though. If you’d help do a quick test on the code, on a not functional league, I can give you code tonight, then put it into the next release.

    Did the Allow Inter-group Play code get wrapped up into a specific release of the plugin? Alternatively, is the code available somewhere? This is a very desirable piece for a number of soccer league sites I’m managing.
