Feature request: Link to set as featured image

  • Hello,

    Very nifty plug-in. I do not want video thumbnails to override any attached media, if present, so I have disabled the set as featured
    image setting. Thus I must manually set the featured image for posts
    not containing other media (would be great if the plug-in could
    detect this, but I recognize that it is a hairy thing due to drafts,
    etc.) This works okay, but it can at times be very difficult if not
    impossible to find the right thumbnail in my media library…

    Could you add a “Set featured image” link to the video thumbnail
    post editor widget, that will do just that with the video thumbnail
    when clicked? Thus saving some of us a few clicks, and also from
    having to hunt through our media libraries?

    Did you try it with “Set featured image” enabled? It should not overwrite an existing featured image.

    I have not, because I do not usually set the featured image. My theme automatically uses the first attached image. Hence the hope for a feature that would not add appreciably to my workflow ??
