Main content and right sidebar positioning after removal of left sidebar
-
Hi all,
This is the first time I’m posting so please be gentle if I don’t include enough information or use correct terminology ??
I’m currently developing a site where I’d like to use the theme GreenTravel however it has 3 columns where I’d only like 2 – the main content on the left and a sidebar on the right. I’ve worked out how to remove the left sidebar, how to reduce the width of the right sidebar and how to increase the width across which the body text is displayed.
But, the right sidebar is not sitting at the right hand side and is instead covering part of the body text. Furthermore, I can see the white colour under the body text isn’t expanding in width when I increase the text width (I did this by adding width to #content).
This is the homepage (displaying posts): https://shineyglobetrotter.com/
And a static page: https://shineyglobetrotter.com/sample-page/
(Please ignore that I haven’t even entered my own text yet – wanted to get my layout right!)My knowledge of HTML / CSS is only somewhat above beginner and I’ve been searching forum posts and how-to websites for a couple of days and starting to get an understanding of div class and id amongst other things but seem to be able to change size/positioning of everything except the part I want. Possibly it’s imbedded in the loop?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
Cheers
