Applying Custom Front Page widgets to other pages

Hi, I absolutely love your Responsive theme! I’m fairly new to developing with WordPress but I’m really into the workflow of starting with a theme like this and then customising it with a child theme. What I’m trying to do currently is modify page templates to include the widget area underneath the content as opposed to in a sidebar, as they appear on the custom home page. I can’t seem to work it out though… any pointers would be much appreciated!
