• My page has serious scroll lag… I also get this scroll lag within the text box when I’m writing a post & adding images. I’m guessing it may be because my images are so large. But is there any way to fix this? And if your answer is to make my images smaller, is there a way to do a mass resize of these images through WordPress? Please don’t tell me I have to do them each by hand. Thanks!

  • Why come in the forum fo help and then tell everyone what not to tell you?

The answer is NO, There is no way of resizing automatically. Website owners should optimize their images before uploading. You can however possibly use a plugin to do so.
Google “Image optimization for WordPress” and you will see a bunch of results.

If the results are not what you need. Doing it by hand is not out of the question.

Thanks! Apologies, I meant it in a tongue-in-cheek, “oh-no-is-that-the-only-way? D:” tone… because I’m lazy and I was hoping there must be a better way. And there is! I didn’t know of the term “image optimization” until now. I didn’t know you had to “optimize” images. Thanks for the tip.

Glad it could get you on the the right path.
