Is there any good, free up-to-date directory plugin?

Hi there,

I would very much like to urgently include a plugin that allows creating a web directory, to which community users can add links to different categories & subcategories.

I am sure there are a couple of free plugins offering this, but they mostly have too many limitations, i.e. for example only fields for tel & fax & none for address, or were last updated years back and I think it would be risky to use and some hardly have any support responses to questions.

These are some of those I have tried:

• BuddyPress Links – the free version too Spartan
• Connections
• Business Directory Plugin – quite spartan
• ODLinks (Open Directory Links) – not flexible

Basically, I would like for WP 3.5.1. a plugin allowing

• user submission of links
• creation of categories & subcategories
• fields for complete physical address
• fields for tel & fax
• Gmaps insertion, if not integrated, at least in main textarea

If not all fields are provided, at least the ability to add more fields.

The “Connect” plugin allows most of this, though I noted the Gmap seems to only appear in the admin dashboard but not at the frontend & see nowhere, no link for normal users to submit links, although the corresponding roles have been given permissions.

I would be grateful to get some advice on how to quickly achieve this.

I am not a coder … in case there is no (free) solution, is there any plugin one can build on , say & add fields, etc?
