Alright, not sure if this issue is tied to the bbpress 2.3 beta, but I’m a user experiencing issues with the quote function. Currently using the following combo: WP 3.5.1, bbpress 2.3 RC1, GD 1.3.1

I’ve tried Enabling/Disabling JS, Enabling/Disabling CSS, Enabling/Disabling bbpress fancy Editor, all with the same result (nothing)

The quote button references the following: a href="#8736" class="d4p-bbt-quote-link">Quote</a>

And only adds #post-id to the URL, nothing is added to the text editor box.

You can find the forums at https://www.gizorama.com/forums/

I have traced the problem, and fixed version is coming over the weekend.

Still having issues after updating to 1.4.

Have tested with both Chrome 26 & IE9, and have tried enabling/disabling JS, CSS, and Always Include.

Just as a side note, the quote function DOES work on the Dev4Press forums (if they’re using bbpress & GD Tools).

Let me try enabling/disabling some apps and see if I can find a problem plugin.

Sorry for the numerous posts, but it looks like issue may be tied to the theme I’m using.

Disabled all plugins and the issue was still present, but once I enables the default Twenty Twelve theme it worked perfectly.

Any ideas on what things theme-side could be keeping this from working?

Also noticed that 1.4 kills the youtube shortcode outside of bbpress.

All youtube shortcode embeds are gone unless GD 1.4 is deactivated.

If the theme causes issues than it is problem with its templates. If the theme overrides default bbPress templates, most likely it removes some of the filters/actions bbPress templates have and GD bbPress Tools depend on.

Dev4Press.com uses bbPress 2.3 and GD bbPress Toolbox plugin (https://www.gdbbpbox.com/). This plugin contains all features from GD bbPress Tools, GD bbPress Widgets and GD bbPress Attachments with several new features.

As for the video shortcodes, that is caused by BBCodes support, and shortcodes that use same name. I will soon release 1.4.1 that will have extra option to disable some of them that are problematic. WP 3.6 adds some new shortcodes also, so that will create more issues.

Just wanted to jump back in here to report my findings, it looks like my quote problems were caused by outdated jquery. We were still running 1.6.4, but as soon as we went up to 1.7.1 everything started working flawlessly.

Firm supporter of GD Tools once again!
