Categories

  • Having used Timelinr on a previous web seit, I was so please to see a wordpress plugin too, however, I can’t get to grips with it.

    I added a category of timeline and have added many entries to the timelinr add new list. It was a shame to see the dates only did month and year, not full dates, but I thought I could live with that.

    On the add new screen, where the dropdown for Categories is shown, when I click it it shows an input box for Tags ! even the link to “Choose from the most used categories” brings back “No tags found!”. So none of my entries have categories.

    Also, where can I find the short code to add the timelinr to the page?

    Hi pzh20,

    Try to check if you have a javascript error when you are creating a new timelinr post because if other plugin break the js the category input will not work. And check if the category exist in the category section:
    wp-admin/edit-tags.php?taxonomy=timelinr_cats&post_type=timelinr

    Categories are working, if you test it in a new wordpress you will see the result.

    There was no Javascript errors shown. Whether or not the category exists, I cannot link the entry to a category. See the image attached.
