TS Call to action

Hi. I love this plugin but any ideas how to put the button link also on call to action text? I tried to put
<div class="ts-widgets-call-to-action-cta"><a href="<?php echo $button_link; ?>">' . $call_to_action_text . '</a></div>but it’s not working, it shows<a href="<?php echo $button_link; ?>"> My action text </a>.
