404 home page

    First time here so hi to all.
    Site was working fine till this weekend. Not edited it for a week or so as it always works, now it has no home page. It’s all still in my dashboard and other pages are working. (contacform 7 is broken so writing new form)

    The plugin easyslider on my home page) shows up as deactivated in my plugins but it was all working fine before weekend. I updated ‘easyslider’

    formated home page though the text and short code was all still there.

    did it all again and still I get 404 but with my menu and background.

    Everything was working fine..for a few weeks realy was proud of it.
    1. Easing slider on home page
    2. call to action button
    3. the home page widgets all fine.

    now just 404.
    I re edited everything. even though all text and images were still in my dashboard at the correct places. what’s happened please help.

    If you go to Dashboard > Settings > Reading, what radio button is selected for the first option “Front page displays”?

    I’d guess that “A static page (select below)” is selected, but maybe that page was accidentally deleted? If so, check under Dashboard > Pages > All Pages > Trash to see if it’s there and can be restored.

    N’s not it The ‘submit data page’ is not yet static and has not been finished yet. ‘Contact form 7’ is broken, so writing a form separate in html. I can delete it for now to see if it helps.

    Does anyone know if it is possible to UN-INSTALL wp from hostgator and re install it all again so i can build it up from scratch…

    Same as with any site, delete your files, delete the DB, start over ??
