Parse error

    I was messing around with some things and I don’t know what I did, but I’m getting this error and cannot access my blog:

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘}’ in /home/content/12/10732112/html/wp-content/themes/luscious/functions.php on line 22

    I’m a brand new WordPress user and I’m totally lost. Please help me. Preferably using small words that a monkey could understand.

    I do know how to get into my control panel, at least. Once I’m there though I feel like someone just asked me to defuse a bomb.

    HELP.

  • Copy the all code from functions.php file and upload in pastebin.com. Next share the link here. we will check the code and try to resolve it

    Did you save a backup of your functions.php file? If so, you can upload the unaltered version to get your site up and running.

    If you didn’t save a backup, you can download a fresh copy of the theme and then upload the unaltered functions.php.

    I think I did that right.

    If I can’t copy and paste I think I should just stay off the internet.

    Ok. I just created a new version here https://pastebin.com/64Y230nP. Now you will copy the code from there and replace your old code of functions.php file and upload on your server.

    Note: First you will keep a backup of your file

    I was working directly in the wp-admin on theme function. Before I started I copied and pasted everything there into a text file, thinking if anything went wrong I could just copy and paste it back.

    I.Was.Wrong.

    So no, I didn’t save a backup of that actual file. Live and learn I guess. *sigh*

    connect via FTP or CPanel – file manager and edit the file.
