All I am getting is Index of/ & cgi-bin
-
I just signed up with a host company to set up my own website. I just got the key to the C-Panel and everything and I was set to go. I went to You-tube to watch videos on how to set up websites. One was particularly good about using WordPress to set up a website.
Long story short I went ahead and used Softaculous on my CPanel to install WordPress 3.5. At the end of the process it gave me a link to follow to view my website. When I clicked on the link all I saw was:
Index of/
. cgi-bin
These are the steps I have taken to resolve the issue:
1. Deleting the WordPress and reinstalling it via
a. Softaculous again, and also
b. manually through The File Manager after downloading the zip file from WordPressThe funny thing is I can see the WordPress files under Public_html. But no matter what I do all I see when I go to my website is:
Index of/
. cgi-binNow I must admit I am not terribly good at computer language, so I am sure there is something I am doing terribly wrong, though – the truth be told – I don’t know what it is I am not doing right.
I don’t know whether it is possible to give me directions from this skeletal information. If need be I am ready to supply more information. I am almost ready to jump off the ledge; don’t worry, it is only a window ledge and I live on the ground floor.
