[Plugin: WP-Markdown] Process custom text fields

The basic functionality works fine for posts and pages. I’m now working on custom types with custom fields, and I’d like to process custom text fields for Markdown conversion. Is there a way to do so with this plugin, or will there be? If not with this plugin, is there an alternative?
