First WP site critique and help tweaking

    Using Custom Community. Trying to decide if buying full theme would help me put on finishing touches. Cannot tell if I would get more control for what I want.

    -setting margins
    -getting rid of footer note… “is proudly powered by WordPress and BuddyPress. Just another WordPress Theme developed by Themekraft.”
    -Simplified use of slideshow

  • Well you asked for the critique.

    Logo looks good.

    The content area however does not. Using a liquid layout for content can make it really hard to read. Also, there is a strange space between your “Home” nav link and the other nav links.

    It appears the slideshow has not been set up yet, and I’m not sure how a slideshow is gonna look on a liquid layout as well. It looks like the slideshow is loading on all pages above the content as well which really pushes down the content. Important information should be above the fold (before scrolling).
