can't log in

    Hi, my domain is https://www.diversifiedent.com and I cannot get to my admin login page. If i go to /wp-admin it just takes me to a blank page, and if I go to /wp-login.php it shows me the login screen but when I enter my user name and password and hit “log in” it just takes me to the same blank page, and if I reload, i’m back at login. I think my files have been corrupted somehow, is there a phone number for wordpress tech support?

  • No. WordPress is an open-source community project. Everyone here volunteers their time to help the community.

    What I would do, if it were me, is use either FTP or my hosts CPanel to gain access to my file directories.

    Once there, I would rename the “plugins” directory to something like “plugins-test”.

    Then try to log back into your site. This will rule out the possibility of a plugin corrupting your WP somewhere along the way.

    If that doesn’t work, come back and let us know.

    Ok, I went into the cpanel and changed the file name, but it still doesn’t seem to be working. I did recently add phpBB forums to the site, should I try uninstalling it to see if that makes a difference?

    Are you able to log into the admin panel to uninstall it?

    I had the same problem. After some thorough investigation with my server Hostmonster’s tech support, we discovered that a php file had been deleted. Basically, he went back to a backup from right before the issue occurred and restored that version.

    Awesome. I called bluehost and had them restore it to a backup from last week, and now I have no problems getting to my dashboard. Thanks.
