• i have installed a couple of admin themes today. each time, both using an ftp program, and using the image upload in my host’s control panel, i have found the navigation images within the themes are corrupted and not showing up properly. has anyone else run into this issue?

actually it seems to be more of an FF problem, which is highly irritating. any ideas?

Try uploading the images in Binary mode with the ftp program once, then in the Control Panel for blog, do: Ctrl + F5 once, see if that helps maybe.. FF’s cache sucks compared to IE’s, but FF is alot better of a browser in general though.. =/ Also, make sure those images are uploaded in the right directories too.. lol

wish it was that easy!! LOL

    here’s a screen shot: https://covedesign.com/screen.jpg

Hahaha..ewww..it does appear they were uploaded in ASCII mode though..instead of binary. Hmmm..what do you mean “you wish it was that easy”? If you did it before right, then it should be “That Easy” lol! Unless something has changed since then and you can’t connect via that way or something..I dunno.

i’ve been doing this for years – all images uploaded in binary – unless of course both ws_ftp and my control panel are screwed up! oh well – i’ll figure it out.

Hmm, I’m using the same FTP program as you. =) I’m not sure then calw, except maybe try redownloading that “version” again, and delete the stuff in the wp-admin folder only..then reupload the fresh stuff again to be on safe side.. (Times like this, makes ya wanna have a few beers or something don’t it LOL!?)

This is so weird – beer – more like cheap vodka!! ROFL

(the weirdest part is that other image uploads are fine and it’s happening in more than one “imported” theme, as well as the default theme)

giving up for today – wasted far too much time on it already.

EDITED* giving up for today – wasted far too much time on it already.

Alright, that might be a good idea too lol. Sometimes, taking a break from this is a good thing, besides..you worked hard enough today, it’s time to get drunk right hahaha..

LOL! I was going to mention that, but figured nah, better not turn this into a “drunken bar type” thread lmaO!! But, yeah, was going to say Banker’s Club vodka hahaha…that’s some cheap vodka ….

ok – so now the images are okay, but what i’ve realised is that when i’ve activated either one of the two new admin plugins, they’re pulling in the images from the regular wp admin style. i’m not sure how to fix this, so am going to stay with the regular admin style for now. *sigh* – am going to open another thread as i think it’s a wp version issue.
