Changed site url – website gone – message simple states "error"

Hey guys, i hope someone can help.
I was checking my site over today and realised the autoinstall from my hosting company sets the site url to https://mydomain.com.
So I went into Settings-General and I changed the WordPress Address url and the Site Address url to be https://www.mydomain.com.
I’ve done this on other websites and it works fine, but today this particular site has gone.
Please help.
Since getting this error I have gone into phpmyadmin and edited wp_options siteurl and home to be back to https://mydomain.com
but still the site refuses to start and the only thing showing on the page is the word ‘error’
