Images do not show up after moving site to new server

  • I have read other posts and it seems that my directory may have changed and therefore they cant be found by the current directory?But the full images are in the library? Just the thumbnail is unable to see, if the link is clicked the full image appears. If that is the case do I go to Msql to change them in one go? And how do I know what to change them to?

    First, is WordPress residing on the same root folder or same subfolder? Coz if from old site its on root and in new site its on a subfolder, it could be the problem.

    Next, Try to check your general settings. Login to wordpress the go to settings > general. Check the URLs section and compare it to your old site. Its should be the same like maybe there’s a missing “www” or something.

    Lastly, be sure you have uploaded all the images from old uploads folder (/wp-content/uploads/) to the new site. Sometimes, there is a possibility that some images were not transferred successfully.
