Exporting content as xml file fails in the middle

  • Hi. Been trying to export the content of my WP blog, but the connection gets lost in the middle.
    I tried to export “all content”
    then “all posts” only
    then specific post categories only, and it kept failing

    In Chrome I get “failed – network error”
    in Firefox I get “xxx.xml could not be saved, because the source file could not be read”

    The disconnection seems to occur at different points during the download.

    What could it be ?
