  • Open notepad
    press space once
    save the file as ‘htaccess.txt’
    upload that to the blog’s main directory
    rename it to .htaccess
    change it’s permissions to 666 is needed.

    Than change the permalinks.

    whoa..that’s a bit over my head. I under stand the first part, but how would i change it’s permissions and then the permalinks?

    Permissions can usually be done with your webhost file manager or your ftp client.

    The permalinks are done from within WP.
