I noticed in the documentation it states you are able to allow or restrict access to WP Categories. I see where it is built into the plugin to allow this level of Category access to certain membership levels but can’t seem to find how to allow access to visitors. The default install seems to automatically restrict Category access for visitors.

I keep wanting to see a default membership level with the ID 0 (referring to the short code options) that allows you to specify what the general public has access to in terms of Categories.

We are using the plugin for a small newspaper and really need to have our legals viewable to the public. We currently have a Legals category we would like open up to visitors.

Any help on this matter will be greatly appreciated.

  • By default the plugin does not restrict any categories. Only if you select the category during the membership level setup page.

Please deselect all of the categories except the one you want to force a membership on.

Anthony, thanks for chiming in on some posts here.

Ryan a shortcode like this should show up for non-members:
[membership level=”0″]Will show up for non-members.[/membership]
