I finally got the silly thing running on the new server, I transferred all the DB stuff from the old server over, however what I was finding, is that if I transferred ALL the files over, the WP on the new server would “regress” to the old version (old server is 1.52 and new is 2.02) AND would boot me over to the old server when I tried to login. *sigh* Kill me now.

So, I transferred only selected DB files (posts, comments, categories etc) and NOW….of course I get another error.

    This one looks fun:

WordPress database error: [Unknown column ‘post_mime_type’ in ‘field list’]
INSERT IGNORE INTO wp_posts (post_author, post_date, post_date_gmt, post_content, post_content_filtered, post_title, post_excerpt, post_status, comment_status, ping_status, post_password, post_name, to_ping, pinged, post_modified, post_modified_gmt, post_parent, menu_order, post_mime_type) VALUES (‘1’, ”, ”, ‘Gotta weird error here. This whole thing is pissing me off royally! ? So like, can I just PAY someone to do this for me? Right now I am so bloody aggravated that I’ve been tempted to toss the laptop out the window. I don’t think that would improve my disposition right now.

    Help. Please!

    Jennifer

Ok, I did that…..it was up and running for about 8.3 seconds, then it logged me out. I tried to log in again, it told me incorrect PW, so I reset the PW and tried to login, now I get a “cannot find server” page.

Ideas before I throw a temper tantrum?

I should clarify, that the blog is “up” and I can access the login page, but otherwise, when I put in the PW etc, it goes to a CFS page.

Did you delete the cache files after resetting password and before logging in?

Well, now I will show you my computer ignorance. How do I do that? Is that the same as cookies?

And no, I didnt, I read that, then forgot about doing that step.
