• I’ve been attempting to have my tiled background to start beneath my header image so that I have a long bar of the background colour visible while still having the tiled image available for scrolling through the page.

    I’ve tried various methods of inserting

    background: url(‘/wp-content/uploads/2013/03 /1343333842_Pattern0518.jpg’);
    background-repeat:repeat-y;
    background-position: 0 105px;

    But it doesn’t seem to matter where I put it, whether it’s in the body or page, it doesn’t work. I’ve also looked into any plugins that may help me, but have had no such luck in that regard.

    it doesn’t work

    Sorry, what doesn’t work?
    Your CSS isn’t loading at all and no styles work?
    Your background-repeat doesn’t work?
    Your background position doesn’t work?
    Your background image doesn’t load?

    Also provide a link to the webpage with the issue.

    What isn’t working is the fact that I would like the background image to start lower so that I have a bar of background color visible, from what I’ve read this should be possible, but I cannot seem to find a way to get it to work. (Background Position)

    It pretty much just always has cover over the entire background of the site.

    Rather I’m not sure if what I’m doing is even correct.

    It’s a child theme of twenty eleven
