How to disable currently selected item in a horizontal menu?
-
Hello,
I am running a website for a small organization of blind and partially sighted students and academics here in Norway. We are in the process of upgrading our website. In that process, we want to take steps to ensure that the accessibility is as good as possible.
The website is using a horizontal menu in one level to avoid dropdowns. I have considered to use a breadcrumb trail to inform the user about where he/she is, but have dropped that idea for the time being. However, I would like to have the currently chosen item on the horizontal menu to become unclickable and maybe marked in another colour to remind the user about where he/she is. How do I achieve this?
I am not a programmer, and I have only very limited knowledge about PHP and even less knowledge about CSS.
Any help would be highly appreciated.
