using .htaccess to point domain to subfolder, how to install wp?
-
hello all
i plan to create multiple websites under my hosting with hostpapa, i am told that to do this, all i need to do is create subfolders and use .htaccess to point each domain to it’s respective subfolder. i dont think hostpapa offers ‘addon domains’ or any other way to host multiple websites in the same webspace other than to create subfolders and use .htaccess
so, the actual site’s location would be https://www.domainname.com/subfolder but i want https://www.seconddomainname.com to point to that subfolder so it looks like the second website is sitting under https://www.seconddomain.com
my concern is installing and configuring wordpress – in this situation, do i have to do anything at all, differently from the usual steps of installing wordpress in a subfolder, to take into account the above?
thanks!
