I’m trying to add a link on my website, https://www.soma1894.com, to a book I recently published on Kindle. I’m not sure how to get started. Can anyone send me a link on how to do this? Anybody have any tips on the best way to do this? Thanks.

  • Wouldn’t the link to your book be on Amazon? I would just go and grab it from there and add it to your site.

I’m not sure if you’re having issues finding the link to your book or having issues adding a link to your site.

I’m not sure how to add it to my site. I’d like to put it on the right side of the homepage (of https://www.soma1894.com), above the Facebook and Twitter buttons, with a brief note that says something like: Read Lyle’s novel on your Kindle.

    Thanks.

Start by getting the link to your Kindle book from Amazon.

Do you have the ability to use widgets in your sidebar?
If so, just add the link there as a text widget.

Thanks for getting back to me.

Ok esmi, I have the link and my ASIN code from Kindle.

And Christine, I think I can use widgets in my sidebar but will check now. While I’ve set up some blogs on wordpress.com on my own that was a while ago.

And I used a developer for my https://www.soma1894.com site, which is on www.remarpro.com but I want to do certain things on my own, like adding this link. I’m going to check my dashboard and sidebar to see if I can add it, thanks.

So I added a text widget to my sidebar. I cut and pasted my book’s link from Amazon into the text widget. While it appears on my website, https://www.soma1894.com, where I want it to, on the right side and above my Facebook and Twitter buttons, it’s just the Amazon URL and not a live link, you can’t click on it to get to my book on Amazon. If you have a minute please take a look at my website when you can, I’ll leave it on there so you see what I mean. Thanks.

Actually I figured it out, thanks again for your help. I wanted to make the cover of my book the link (I didn’t fully explain that in my previous posts, sorry) so I first had to install the Image Widget on my site. Then I used that to add my cover image and make that the link to my book on Amazon. Thanks again.
