Question: display of custom attributes in product description area?

    Hi. Is there a way this plugin can support display of custom attributes somewhere within the product description area, but not within the Additional Information tab?

    This would not be specific to variable products, but any products with custom attributes.

    Ideally I’d like a shortcode I can place within the product description for display of custom attributes.

    Sounds like this plugin is the closest thing I’ve seen so far, but doesn’t do exactly what I’m looking for.

    I’d like to know your thoughts for getting what I need, and if this plugin could extend to do that. Otherwise I may need to do some custom coding, which I would like to avoid.

    Thank you for pointing out a good feature to implement.
    Sadly, i’m dealing with short time to accomplish that, and most probably it will only be possible in the end of this week. It that ok for you?

    However, let me remind you that you can choose on Variations Settings a class or a id where you can hook this script.

    That would be awesome if you would consider adding that feature. I have a client with such a need, and just letting them know it is possible feature after perhaps 1 week is good enough for now.

    I don’t quite understand how to access the hooks, so a plugin would be much better for me.

    In fact, I’m sure that such a plugin (with shortcode support) could be a commercial plugin that myself and others would pay for.

    Hi fellow:

    Just want to say that your wishes have became true, just about….. now!
    I’ve released a new version that supports shortcodes. Just type [mp_wc_vdopp_variations] on your product description (for instance) and it will just run… hopefully.

    Thanks! That’s great. Really appreciate it.

    I hope at some point to also be able to show not only variations, but also custom attributes via shortcode… I think that will be very useful.
