    If I could get someone to look at https://www.ohlgrennetworktraining.com you’ll see two # signs on the far left of the page. For the life of me I cannot figure out how remove them. I know that they are somehow related to the Easy Rotator but I don’t think they should be visible. I cannot find a way to edit the source code within WordPress to remove them.

    Can this even be done in WordPress? Or do I need to get into the ftp area, locate the file and edit through a txt editor like bbEdit.

    Thanks in advance for the help!

  • Hi Faith – it does look like it might be the Easy Rotator – as they are right before and after that code:

    #
    <div class="easyRotatorWrapper" align="center">
    #

    You can try looking in the header.php file to see if anything looks weird there – look under Appearances >> Editor then header.php.

    Or try deactivating that plugin to see if that resolves it.

    Hi WPyogi – I am new to WordPress and didn’t even know where to begin to find those # signs. I contacted Drew with DWuser.com. He found them in the welcome.php file and removed them. So one problem has been resolved.

    I do have another question. Is there an easy way to find the correct file that needs to be edited.

    There is another area on the site that still has some text “read more >>” that I think should be removed. It is located under the image on the far right of the page in the third box.

    Can I look at the source code on the website to see where the code is coming from or do I have to look in each php file to find the correct source to edit?

    Thanks again for your help!

    There’s not always an easy way to find stray code or text like that – start by looking in your content for that page/spot. If you can’t find it there, you have to start looking in whichever template file is generating that page (or section of page). Can you post a link to the page you’re looking at now?

    I managed to find the other area of concern on the website so all is well.

    Thank you very much for your help!
