I have a multi faceted question.

We are setting up a blog/website for a ministry. We have a domain name already. We also have set up a bare bones blog at wordpress.com. We have a church who is currently hosting our website, but we need to be able to update it more often that we are. They are still willing to host our new site. How difficult is it to put a www.remarpro.com site on a private server? Are we better off to go with a commercial server? I assume that I am going to need to get the church IT guy involved in the initial setup of this?

Also, how do I get the work we have done on the .com site to the .org site?

    Thank you

The only difference (in most cases anyway) between a private server and a public server is who’s allowed to put something on it. As long as the server meets WordPress’s requriements then you won’t have any problem. I’d lso hope that as it’s a private server you’ll be closer to support if you ever need it. The churchs IT guy should be able ot either do the initial install himself, or guide you through it.
