Request regarding topic prefix

  • When topics are marked as support topics, the topic titles are prefixed with:

    [Support request]

    …or…

    <span class="bbp-st-topic-support topic-not-resolved">[Support request] </span>

    It would be great to have the option to change this without editing the core plugin files e.g. options page or a hook/filter.

    In my particular case, I’d like to be able to change it to:

    [Action required]

    The classes wouldn’t need to change, just the display text. I imagine this level of fine-tuning would be of use to others.

    The display text of the options for select.support-select-status and input#bp_bbp_st_is_support would additionally need to modifiable for it all to make sense semantically.

    Minor note: It may just be me but the name of the plugin threw me off at least twice. For some reason, when glancing through the available plugins, I assumed that the plugin wasn’t bbPress specific. Again, this could be just me incorrectly intuiting the plugin title at a fleeting glance.

    You’re right, i’ll add a filter to change the prefix. Thanks for your suggestion.

    I choose this name because the plugin should work on different configs

    A site with bbPress 2.+ only
    A site with BuddyPress and bbPress 1.+ for its group forums and sitewide forums
    A site with BuddyPress and bbPress 1.+ for its group forums and bbPress 2.+ for the sitewide forums.
