can;t get rid of "?tegory%"

My issue is that when you click on a category, it redirects to all the posts in that specific category correctly but the web address and browser tab it has has “%category%”.

I have just installed a plugin in to remove the word the mandatory ‘Category Base’ from my category permalinks, which has worked in the web address but on the browser tab it should be, for example please pretend blogging was the category:

blogging | myblog.com

But instead the category name is not there, and looks like this:

%category% | myblog.com

Can anyone help me please?
