I don’t know how to do it with a html site. There are several options to do it with a .php file.

An iFrame perhaps? Although I wouldn’t suggest it.

Try reversing your logic maybe, how about embedding your site into WordPress? Problem solved.

I would eventually like to convert my HTML site to WordPress, is there a tool to do it? (I’m a non-programmer, but I know HTML, CSS).

I know of two tools you can use. Notepad and Dreamweaver.
Then start putting that knowledge of yours to the test.

Start by having a read of these pages:

No, there is no tool for that, but if you know html and css – that’s quite enough.
Believe me, all I know in PHP is copy/paste ??

Start here: Blog_Design_and_Layout – and follow all the links from there. And I really mean all of them.
And for encouragement: WordPress is not PHP and, finally, a little visual aid: anatomy of a theme.

One day you’ll be as old as I am now and by then you’ll type even slower than I do now ??

Thanks for the comments & pointers. Is there a way I can import a php file into my WP site?

(Background: I have a lot of genealogy pages that are generated by a family tree program. I just found a way to easily conert these files to PHP. Once that’s done, I’ll need to get them into WP.)

To include your WP feed into an html page, check out FeedDigest (https://www.feeddigest.com). It’s very easy and you can either use php or javascript, which is easier. ??
