Please can somebody adviise on this one. I add a new page or post then upload a PDF via Media upload – no problem. I want to have the cnmtents of the PDF to show as soon as the post is clicked or the page opens. At present all I know how to do is write a line on the page/post saying blah blah blah – click here – then create a link to the PDF’s URL. Then the PDF’s contents show. But I don’t want to have to show a ‘click here’ to bring up the PDF’s content – I want the content to show as soon as the page or post is opened.
I don’t know how to do this.
I hope to be able to do it without using code.

The PDF’s content is not directly viewable in a web browser!

Having said that browsers like safari do support viewing the pdf.

Hi Parable – thanks for the reply (almost with the speed of light). I run a community website – could you please spare a moment to take a look?

My latest ‘post’ is “We need a First Aid Co-ordinator”

Click the post and you will see that the best I can do is offer a ‘click’ to the URL which then opens up to a coloured five languages blurb.

However, if you click on the following post “Local Weather Forecast”, the post opens direct to the latest weather without the need for an intermediate ‘click here’ syntax.

I managed to create this months and months ago and have been updating the ‘Local Weather’ post umpteen times to keep it as number 2 in the priority ladder – now I can’t remember what I did to get the weather to show straightaway nor, after many tries, get back there !!

Are you saying that there’s an essential difference between an Internet URL and a home-spun URL so that the one shows and the other needs a leg-up?

    Thanks in anticipation.
