Is it OK completely remove Akismet on WordPress blog?

    Hello!
    I’m new to the WP. When I’m starting this blog, I have installed Akismet plug-in. Now I use Disqus commenting system plug-in and I have disabled trackback. I think it’s useless continue Akismet. I’m using Akismet API key with Disqus. Moreover I use CloudFlare, I guess it reduce spam bots. So is it OK uninstalling this plug-in? Are there any side effects if I remove it from my blog?

    Sure you can. If you have other plugins that can do the job nicely, go head and use them. Wp is very very flexable in that way.
