Nice to have a category or tag title

On the archive page you can specify a title – whether it is a tag archive, category archive, or any other archive. It would be nice to show that title on the single pages when the referrer is an archive. In other words, you view the archive “photography”. When you click on a post, the single page has the same title as the archive page you came from – i.e., “photography”. And it stays that way as long as you are navigating through those posts.
Any way to do this?
Also, is there a way to send this information from the archive page itself?
