[Feature Request] Support using Media Tags to help choose Featured Ima

Same – it’s critical for what we’re doing and makes the plugin partially useless if it can’t – does anyone know of a hack or code to achieve this?

This feature seems to be in place already, though you can’t access it through the “Set Featured Image” dialog.

If you click Add Media > Media Tags > [select tag]

Then, at the bottom of the image you are using, next to where it says “Insert into Post” there is a link that read “Use as featured image”. This seems to work pretty well.

z.green, I don’t see that option. When I click on the tag (I’m going: ‘Media’ > ‘Media tags’ > ‘Specific tag name’) the only fields are ‘Name’, ‘Slug’ & ‘Description’. It would be great to be able to add the ‘Featured image’ field here. Did anyone figure this out yet?
