Expand/collapse or show/hide subcategories

This can be done to the main(parent) categories by following this tutorial
https://www.tamba2.org.uk/wordpress/kadabra.txt
But what I want is, when we click on the main(parent) category, it will show/hide the subcategories below it.
Any idea?
