How to not require email in the comments form

    How do I remove the ’email’ requirement in the comments/replies form?

    I think this might discourage a lot of people from leaving comments.

    In your admin, options > Discussion

    Uncheck the “Comment author must fill out name and e-mail”

    I think this is the way ??

    I just looked at the admin panel again and saw it. It works, obviously. ??

    And if you still want to force people to enter a name, just make the e-mail input a hidden field with a dummy e-mail address as it’s value.

    Viper077Bond thank you, you are my new god…but… where do I have to input the dummy email? and how do I then make it a hidden field please. This is what I need to know bad! I have been looking for this answer for sometime now. I just want name required and not email from people when they go to comment….HELP! LOL
