Strange language in emails & control panel

    For some reason, WordPress is sending registeration emails in a strange language, as well as using that same language in the control panel to show things such as the example permalinks. The only thing I’ve changed since this started happening was the default user role. I started to paste a sample of the text here, but the strange thing is when I did it converted to regular english. WTF?

    This text displays on emails and the example permalinks in the control panel only *as far as I’ve found*. My site and the rest of the control panel shows up normally. This has REALLY got me baffled.
