• HI Guys,

I design wordpress themes using #page{width:1000px;} or {max-width:1000px;}, its works awesomely on Windows 7 Laptops and TFT monitors. But if I access same page using old XP with CRT monitors the fonts get bigger and page widens. Even menu everything widens. I use twenty elven for every type of design, I like the css of twenty eleven. Has anyone found/know a good fix for this? Please help me. Thanks you so much in advance.

  • Check the browser. It might be the browser, not the monitor.

XP’s default browser is IE6, and I remember at the time, people like to increase default font size in IE. So I would check the browser and the setting in the browser.

Thanks Paul for your reply. NO I have checked it with latest Mozilla chrome and IE8 all shows bigger fonts, menu etc i8n twenty elven but normal windows 8 pcc’s laptops shows proper page. I think it has somnething to do with css ’em’ we use in twenty eleven.

    Thanks again for your input.
