Nested Comments Issue

  • I have a site where it seems that nested comments only works for logged in users. Users that are not logged in when trying to reply to a comment a new comment is created instead of nesting it. I’m using the wordpress themes and nested comments is enabled.

    Its an internal site so I can post a link but wondering if anyone else has experienced this.

    Try switching to the Twenty Eleven or Twenty Twelve theme and deactivate all of your plugins. Then clear your browser’s cache and cookies and attempt to leave a comment as a not logged in user.

    If that lets you reply using nested comments (it should) then one at a time reactivate your plugins until the problem comes back. Leave the theme as Twenty Eleven or Twenty Twelve for now.
