• Hi,

I am getting a really strange pop-up window every time I log-into the WordPress dashboard for my site. It reads:

To view this page, you must log-in to area “durangorollergirls.com” on durangorollergirls.com:80.

Your password will be sent unencrypted.

    Name:

    Password:

It goes away when I click on cancel (meaning I don’t actually have to log-in in the pop-up window). The really annoying thing is is pops up EVERY SINGLE TIME I do any sort of action in the dashboard – save a page, move to a new tab, make any changes at all.

Does anyone know how to get rid of this?

    Thank you!

  • Derby, yay! ??

Sounds like a plug in issue, perhaps – try disabling all of your plugins and testing, then re-enable one at a time, testing in between, to see which may be the culprit. Also try switching to the default theme, Twenty Twelve or Twenty Eleven, to see if the behavior persists.

Cool thank you!!! I will try that. My only concern is that if I disable the plug-ins, do I loose the work or capabilities associated with that plug-in when I turn it back on?

For example, I am using a Custom Widget Area plugin and a Sidebar Manager Plugin, and I don’t want to loose all the sidebars and custom widgets I’ve incorporated by turning those off and on.

    Thanks again!

Your plugins’ settings should remain safe in your database,
