Cache Error…..?

  • Hi all,

    I’m getting this weird message at the top of every page while working in WP.

    Warning! WP Super Cache caching broken! The script advanced-cache.php could not load wp-cache-phase1.php.

    Please edit /home/HOSTGATORLOGINAME/public_html/MYWEBSITENAME.com/wp-content/advanced-cache.php and make sure the path to /home/HOSTGATORLOGINAME/public_html/MYWEBSITENAME.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-super-cache/wp-cache-phase1.php is correct.

    I tried changing and activating different themes…and still get the same message (sigh).

    Anyone know what this is and how to correct it?

    ….also i have 2 other sites under my “baby account” at Hostgator…and neither of the other 2 get this message.

    thanks for any constructive input you can give.

    PS.

    I deactivated it…and the error went away.

    Now the question is…do i need that plugin?
