• The FAQ mentions “In addition there will be support provided for the generic Media RSS format, which can facilitate integration with platforms such as ZenPhoto.”

How up to date is this statement? I’m very happy with Zenphoto as a standalone gallery manager, but its integration with WordPress has gotten frustrating lately.

If the answer is “not any time soon”, how does Photonic cope with being pointed at a (local, filesystem) directory of nested albums?

The statement is as up to date as the plugin, i.e. it will be done. It isn’t my top priority at the moment, because I need to provide some additional capability for some of the current providers. Only after I have managed to offer support for all planned providers will I focus on generic MediaRSS.

Photonic is not intended for local photos, and I don’t intend to add that as a feature either.

Thanks for the quick response; guess I’ll have to keep looking (I had hoped Zenphoto’s cache structure could be fed to the viewer).
